1. Baking soda and vinegar
Baking soda and vinegar are inexpensive and safe ways to unblock RV drains. Vinegar is an acid, and baking soda is a base, so combining the two produces a chemical reaction similar to a grade-school science fair. Because of the pressure generated by this reaction, clogs are often dislodged.
Before you attempt to unclog the drain, put half a cup of baking soda down it. A half cup of white vinegar should be added approximately 15-20 minutes later. Once the drain has stopped fizzing, pour approximately half a gallon of boiling water down it.
