Connecting a vehicle requires a quality electrical connector. Power cords for RVs need to be well-insulated, water-resistant, and able to connect to the campsite’s power outlet. Cleanliness, storage, and safety are equally important. Checklists should include high-visibility RV cords and designs that reduce the risk of electric shock.

There are different RV power cords available at different prices, but each has its own unique benefits. To make comparisons easier, we chose a 25-foot cord rated at 30 amps.  Longer cords are available from some manufacturers. A special type of extension cord is also available for RVs. Depending on the campsite, you may have 30 or 50 amps available. It comes with a dedicated 50-amp cord, which works with both adapters and 50-amp cords.

Dumble 5630

A high-quality RV power cord designed for a variety of RV applications, the Dumble 5630 is made from high-quality materials. A grip handle, a twist connector, and an indicator light are all included with this product.  A 30-amp female connection is also included, as well as two straight blades.

Weekender by ParkPower 30ARVD30

In order to ensure a watertight seal, the Weekender features two LED indicator lights on each end. Due to its bright yellow color, it is easily visible despite low light levels. The Weekender is covered by a three-year warranty from ParkPower.

Leisure Cords 226871

In Leisure Cords 226871, the connectors and plugs are molded to accommodate female connections. Power is indicated by an LED light. No matter how cold the weather gets, cords will remain flexible.

Camco Power Grip 55501

No price is attached to Camco’s 5501 RV power cord. Affordable is more important than meeting a standard. A copper wire and a heat-resistant jacket are used in this cable. Weatherproof connections are made easy by an adapter.

Conntek 14435

You can also lose adapters if you store them and possibly lose them separately. In an RV, a 30-amp power cord from Conntek connects to a 50-amp outlet from the pedestal.
