Towing trucks that deliver the best results

In 2022, trucks will be able to tow 14,000 pounds, previously only available on Heavy Duty models. Despite the fact that the most popular trucks may not have the best engines, their raw power is there. In snowy climates or when the boat launch is crowded, a crew cab is a popular choice among families. Four-door cars have more weight due to their transfers and four doors, so they are less able to tow. The choice of a towing truck should therefore be based on utility as well as life needs. The best trucks for towing in 2022 also include a few models from 2023, as the new model year approaches.

Tow trucks: How do we define them?

While some trucks are good at towing, they may not have the maximum capacity; we’ve highlighted a few models with especially strong towing abilities in our database. The ten best trucks are listed based on their overall merits, but we also take into account their towing capacities, available trailering assistance systems, and combined weight ratings. When you need to tow more than these guys can handle, make sure to check out our list of heavy-duty pickup trucks.
