Our list of the best dog-friendly campgrounds in the United States includes five of the best. These aren’t an exhaustive list, but dog owners and RVers love them. Pets are just as much a part of the family as humans at this hotel.
1. Four Paws Kingdom and Dog Retreat
Canines and humans are welcome at the Four Paws Kingdom and Dog Retreat. Your dog will enjoy a variety of amenities, including an agility dog park and a grooming station. In the Blue Ridge Mountains, they will be pampered. You can choose between sites with fenced-in yards for your dog or sites with full hookups. The campground offers doggie bathhouses, agility parks, and ponds for dog swimming. At Four Paws Kingdom and Dog Retreat, there are two dog parks: a small playground for small dogs and a large yard where larger dogs can run free. You can also pamper your dog in the RV without having to worry about the mess.
2. Lake George RV Park
Dogs are welcome at Lake George RV Park. A splash pad with a water slide, heated indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, and a hot tub await pet owners. A pavilion and two acres of off-leash recreation are available to dogs at Charlie’s Bark Park. There are 400 full-hookup RV sites at the campground. At each site, there is cable, Wi-Fi, a picnic table, and a fire ring. Park amenities include bathhouses, showers, biking trails, and recreation. Large and small dogs have their own areas in the bark park, along with a restroom for humans. Additionally, it has an agility event area and a large synthetic turf play area, as well as a dog wash station. Dogs enjoy outdoor baths at dog-friendly parks.
3. Rovers RV Park
You and your dog will enjoy Rovers RV Park in Oregon. Kayaks and fishing are allowed in the wetlands surrounding the park. Beaches and the Pacific Ocean are about 3.3 miles away. A total of 22 full hookups are available at the park, as well as 12 grassy, electric and water-only sites for smaller RVs. A communal fire pit and bathrooms are available at the campground, along with showers, laundry facilities, and Wi-Fi. Dogs are very welcome at Rovers RV Park. In the area near the river, dogs have access to a large off-leash area. You can also take your dog fishing with you.
4. Riverside Campground and Cabins
Redwood trees surround Riverside Campground and Cabins. There are hiking trails and beach access close to the Pacific Ocean on a river. Picnic tables and fire pits are available at campgrounds. Laundry and shower facilities are available at the campground. Cabins can also be rented. The campground welcomes dogs. It’s rare to find a rental cabin or room that allows dogs. On a dog friendly campsite along the river, a good boy sits by the fire.
5. Kampgrounds of America (KOA)
The majority of KOA campgrounds are dog-friendly. You could plan a road trip around KOA locations because they exist all over the country. Before finalizing your reservations, research the KOA and learn about their pet policies. At most KOAs, you can rent a cabin or a full hookup campsite. Others offer pools and other activities, as well as bathhouses and showers. Dog parks are available at KOA’s KampK9. Many have separate areas for small dogs and large dogs, with cleanup stations, freshwater, and fresheners. Moreover, pet parents can sit comfortably in the area.
