Several hardware and RV stores sell RV awning clips. These RV accessories are fairly common. How do you decide which is the best for your RV?
Camco Valance Clips
In addition to holding up lights, Camco designed these clips to provide consistent light outside during the evening or for parties. Customer reviews indicate they are easy to slide onto RV awning rails and they have a 4-star rating on Amazon.
Klippy Klips
The Klippy Klips use a different design and a stainless steel spring, which makes them a bit unique. These seem to work quite well and are easy to install, according to reviews on Camper World. Due to the fact that stainless steel will not rust under wet and cold conditions, the stainless steel spring has the advantage of not wearing out as easily if exposed to weather conditions such as cold and rain.
Camco Awning Hanger Clips
These clips are designed more for holding clothes than valence clips. Clips also feature a joint in the centre that allows you to raise and lower them slightly.
Camping World Awning Hooks
These are nylon instead of metal, so they are a little cheaper. Lights and heavy items can be secured with a metal ring in the center. Nylon clips that are more flexible can be folded or rolled back into the awning rather than having to be removed.
RV Designer Awning Clips
The hooks are PVC and zinc plated like the Camping World hooks, but they’re cheaper. Simple and not complicated to install, they attach to the RV awning roll bar. A very basic setup with these clips would benefit from using fewer metal decorative details.
