What Makes an RV Waste Digester Effective?

Solid waste must be digested by RVers, even newcomers. Holding tanks can be odorized and waste can be broken down with some products. Despite their differences, the treatment products have some commonalities. It is sometimes the case that products contain dangerous chemicals or ineffective ingredients that cause more issues than they solve. Using a high-quality waste digester has benefits and dangers, which we will discuss here.

To prevent clogging, waste must be liquefied:

Black tanks contain waste digesters that digest waste inside! In clogged tanks, pyramid plugs and compacted tanks can cause clogging because the system digests waste inside the tank. An enzyme-dependent process, bacteria, or a combination of bacteria and enzymes, breaks down waste in a waste digester.

Solid waste in a tank can’t often be removed completely by enzyme-only treatments. Despite the fact that enzymes do not contain a living organism, they are able to break down waste into smaller pieces by breaking it down. Odours are not attacked by them. The waste is digested completely by bacteria, on the other hand. Not everything is as it seems, however. Different types of bacteria are often used in holding tank treatment products. Occasionally, cheap strains of bacteria are present in the products. Blockages occur when your tank’s bacteria cannot breakdown waste.

Both bacteria and enzymes are used in high-quality waste digesters. By breaking down large waste into smaller pieces, non-living enzymes can improve digestion. By helping the bacteria produce more enzymes, these enzymes help the process continue. This means that the digestion process of waste waste will not become clogged!

Waste digesters remove odors:

Anaerobic bacteria and aerobic bacteria are two types of bacteria that can be separated. Products containing anaerobic bacteria, such as stomach acid, contain some. A high-quality waste digester will use the best strains of aerobic bacteria. When aerobic bacteria break down waste, they only release carbon dioxide and water. If you use a product that contains aerobic bacteria, you can eliminate bad odors in your aquarium caused by anaerobic bacteria. Aerobic bacteria break down solid waste and prevent odors in addition to breaking down solid waste.
